Results

Hmm... so, results are coming out tomorrow. I read about it on so many people's blogs, I decided to write about it myself. Heh. 'Course, there are all the people who seem to be having nervous breakdowns about getting their results back, and then there's the other people, like Shawn who's excited. Me? I'm not really feeling anything. Maybe cause I'm waaay too tired to care. Besides, it's not like I can change anything now.

Jeffrey was going round the pool today saying how there was no way he would get above 6 points. Hmm... kinda makes you wonder whether I should be the slightest bit worried at all.

Also, I watched a bunch of really good movies lately. Haven't caught last life in the universe, I heard good things about it. Oh well. Although, I did catch Lost in translation, House of Sand and Fog, Cold Mountain and Mystic River. Heh. I notice that the movies are going towards people dying now. Hmm, 3 of 4 movies having people dying like flies.

Went to watch Cold Mountain with my friend, whom I know all the way from P6, and there were these three women who kept tsk-ing at all the scenes they deemed inappropriate. True, some were, but others, like the killing of a goat? It was made worse when at the point when the main character was shot, they went "Oh, he's shot!" And it wasn't just one who said that, they had to echo each other loudly and stare at each other wide-eyed in shock. Geez.

Also, I saw a trailer for Swimming Upstream. I read a brief sypnosis on the net for it, apparently it came out in 2002. Now there's a movie I can really get in touch with. Haha... Backstroker too. Whaddya know? I suspect it came out because of the recent influx of Australian coaches and all the media about the COE and the Sports School. I suspect the government must have thought, hmm we need a movie that has to do with swimming. All the better if it's Australian. Hah! Here's one! It's even based on a true story! Quick let's releaseit in Singapore to generate support for the Australian Coaches and the swimmers in COE and Sports School.
