For the first time in Marvel history, artist are going to be drawing a continuous cover for three comics, so if you combine them you get one whole picture. And the three can still be detached to stand alone. They are Thor 58, Ironman 64 and Avengers 63, and I won't be around to get two of them, argh!!! Argh! Argh! Argh! The first triple comic that features the same thing from three different points of view! Wow! And I'm gonna miss it. Great... Oh well, I don't really like the fact that Thor is like all moody and and thinks war is the answer to everything. Of course, he tries to be the good ruler, but he's really not doing a very good job. I don't see Zeus' point in asking him to go to Midgard... What's with that?? I don't like Odin's death to Surtur either, he's supposed to be all-seeing, all-knowing, how could he leave the whole of Asgard without a fit ruler, having never let Thor take part in court and always allowing Thor to roam Midgard. Even when Odin entered Odinsleep, he let Sif take Thor's place.
Although I did like the last issue of Thor, 57, showing all these different artist and their different styles, very, very interesting. Very unique, like 'nough Said unique.
Still sick, but I'm going to try and swim anyway for the queensland meet. Leaving tomorrow night. Yippee!! I just hope I make all the qualifying times, then I won't have to pay for the trip at all. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of signing up for 50m back. Qualifying time... 30.00. Ouch, I can just make the cut, hopefully I don't swim too badly that day.
Oh well, back to school. Gee, Sec 4 already, can't believe I'll be taking my 'O' levels at the end of the year. All our teachers got changed this year, much to our annoyance... which also means we have to take another diagnostic test. Darn.
Well, no use dwelling on the present when it's so unpleasent, let's move back to Christmas, my favourite holiday, when presents are opened... and err... more presents are... opened. So, anyway, this year's Christmas was quite fun, except for the lousy DnD game that was conjured up. I swear, my cousin must have bought a 'bag of cheap, home-made campaigns +250'. Of course, he is the DM, so let's just hope he doesn't read this entry...
I got this really cool Wood Elf Dragon from my bro, which I hope to be able to paint it within a time period of one and a half months of solid painting. I also got a few books and a picture frame from my cousins on my Father's side.
On the other side of the family, we played a Secret Santa game, each cousin would get another cousin a present based on a draw. Of course, no one would know who was getting them the present, which was part of the fun. I got a pack of 'Dare to Date' cards from... Jocelyn???!!!!! And of course, I gave Reuben a book "I moved your cheese".
Finally, another koi died... *sigh*... I came back, but sadly, the legendary Koi master was unable to save the poor, bed-ridden koi from the evil disease (At least I think it was a disease). And so, as my friend quite quaintly put it, "The diseased koi is now deceased". Of course, the rest of the koi seem fine and should grow and prosper under my gentle, loving care... heh heh!
