No goggles for you!

Hmm... I seem to be goggle-less for my epic two issue creation of Aquadude. Lionel borrowed my Aquadude pair on Wednesday and, of course, has forgoteen to bring it on... Friday, Saturday and today. Oh Bravo. And I'm supposed to sms him about it. Which I should be doing, oh, say just about now.

I also stumbled upon this site on 100 things I would do if I were an evil overlord. It gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside that people care enough about evil overlords to do these things. It's actually 200+, but hey, the more the merrier, I'm not going to turn down some good advice. After all, it's number 17 on the list!

I still hve not watched LOTR. Oh the pain... on the other hand, I finally got a pool cue of my own. All the others are either: repaired by me after some tragic accident, or horrendously bent, or both. Hmm.

Caligula

Which Historical Lunatic Are You?
From the fecund loins of Rum and Monkey.

You are Gaius Caesar Germanicus - better known as Caligula!

Third Emperor of Rome and ruler of one of the most powerful empires of all time, your common name means "little boots". Although you only reigned for four years, brief even by Roman standards, you still managed to garner a reputation as a cruel, extravagant and downright insane despot. Your father died in suspicious circumstances, you were not the intended heir, and one of your first acts as Emperor was to force the suicide of your father-in-law. Your sister Drusilla died that same year; faced with allegations that your relationship with her had been incestuous, you responded, bafflingly, by declaring her a god.

You revived a number of unpopular traditions, including auctions of properties left over from public shows. When a senator fell asleep at one such auction, you took each of his nods as bids, selling him 13 gladiators for a vast sum. You attempted to have your horse, Incitatus, made into a consul and hence one of the most powerful figures in Rome. It was granted a marble stable with jewels and a staff of servants. At one point you forced your comrade Macro to kill himself - in much the same vein as your father-in-law - accusing him of being his wife's pimp. You, of course, were having an affair with said wife at the time.

Things went from bad to worse. When supplies of condemned men ran short in the circus, you had innocent spectators dragged into the arena with the lions to fill their place. You claimed mastery of the sea by walking across a three-mile bridge of boats in the Bay of Naples; kissed the necks of your lovers, whispering sweet nothings like "This lovely neck will be chopped as soon as I say so,"; dallied with your sister's lover and made her pull her unborn child out of her womb prematurely. Towards the end of your reign, you had a golden statue of yourself made and dressed each day in the same clothes you yourself wore. When you eventually died, the terrified people of Rome refused to believe that such a cruel reign could ever end, and believed you to be alive for years afterwards.

Interestingly enough. the same as my brother, even after I tweaked several answers that I was undecided on. Hmm...

Oxford

Whoppee!! I'm bacl from Oxford!! Start cheering, everyone. In the last two weeks, I watched 12 and a half movies, a musical and a play. :) Of movies, I watched terminator 3, playing god, spy kids 3D, matchstick men, swimming pool, master and commander, Wyatt Erp, the great train robbery of St. Trinians, transporter, tears of the sun, and half of Johnny English. I saw half on it on the plane there and figured it was too bad to bother completing on the flight back... Then, I caught anything goes from these fantastic seats in the theatre. Front row, of the second centre block. The seats were amazing and the musical was almost as good. ;) Hahaha, nah, the musical was lovely.

Finally, I watched Lord Arthur Saville's Crime. Very, very funny play about this guy who's about to get married. He sees a chiromantist who tells him he will commit a single murder in the future and decides he will valiently try to commit the murder before the marriage so as to spare his bride the embarrasment and humiliation and what not. Anyway, I shan't spoil it for those who haven't watched it (although, what are the chances of you actually going to watch it??), but suffice to say he's 'a true son of english nobility', i.e. not good at anything he does.

It rained most of the time there, and when it wasn't raining, it was foggy. So, I only got to go out sightseeing on one occasion. I travlled all the way south to see the Solisbury (pronounced solsbury) Cathedral and the previous two spots it was at. Along with the old site where solisbury used to be. The cathedral was absolutely fantastic. The, we went back North, seeing the Stonehenge along the way and Avebury. We also got to see Sting's modest, 42-million pound, sprawling estate. I'm so jealous... :(

I also visited the Games Workshop in Oxford once. Yay!! It's so much cheaper there it's amazing. I bought quite a bit to supplement my army and I bought a a carrying case for my army too. I bought a saw too, so I can finally work on the models I want changed. Yes!

I also found out they had a Charlie brown cartoon! *Gasp* So, I have a video of Snoopy's family playing a bunch of instruments. :) And they have Garfield!! How unfair is that?? So, while my mom went out shopping and walking around, I lay in bed the few days we were in London and watched cartoons! Wee!! The hotel we stayed in in London was really quite cool. On one side, you have fendi and on the other you have gucci. Along the way you have Ferragamo, Bvlgari, Dior, Kenzo, Armani, etc etc. And across the road is Natwest and HSBC. Hmm... I wonder why? :P

Also, during our stay in London, the rugby stars were paraded down several streets to the Buckingham Palace. So, the streets were really corwded. I refused to budge from bed and spent my morning with charlie brown, garfield and bugs bunny. :D Anyhow, it was a fantastic trip altogether, and I had a wonderful time.
