Shrek 2
I went to watch Confessions of a teenage drama queen on Saturday with Angie. It was not that great. It's somewhat funny and it's got the whole bitchy teenage females thing going, so it was tolerable, I guess. However, the best part of the day was after the movie, when Angie and I came out. We saw the Shrek 2 cardboard cutouts lying in the corner. So, we started off by trying to smuggle out Puss in Boots.
Then we realised, the cut-outs were probably going to be thrown away, anyway, so we asked one of the staff and he said we could have them. Yay! So we messed around with them and then took Donkey, The Fairy Godmother and Puss in Boots.
So, if you saw people walking down Orchard road on Saturday carrying Donkey or any of the other cut-outs, you know who you saw. :P
AGoT National Tournament
Played in the Nationals on Sunday, had a lot of fun, made top 8, then got trashed in the first round of the finals. Haha. Played my first game with Ewan. Ouch. Also, played two other games with Byron and Lionel. Double ouch. Haha, so I had a 3-3 win record. All in all, I had a lot of fun. :D
Haha, I made a strawberry souffle last night with the help of my mom. It's the "easiest recipe on earth" apparently. It actually tastes pretty good, even my mom and maid admitted as much. Heh heh. Too much Queer Eye made me want to try something. Oh well... at least it turned out good.
Also, read my brother's blog on troy. I thought it was okay, except for, here I quote Rachel who was referring to a different movie at that time, "the fighting scenes and the love scenes". Amazingly, Penny Arcade has a much better idea.
Edit: Actually, no, scratch that, what I'd really like to see is Legolas and The Hulk against Super Green Beret. Hahahahahaha...
As usual, I celebrated International Towel day/mourned the death of The Great Hitchhiker this year by bringing with me a towel. However, this time, Angie celebrated the day with me. Yay! This is the second time I've had someone celebrate towel day with me.
Also, we went to watch Shrek 2 in the morning. It's a really good show. Those of you who haven't seen it should go forth and watch it anon. There were about 9 people altogether in the theatre and Angie bet me 5 bucks (My half of the popcorn combo we bought) that I wouldn't shout "Happy International Towel Day Everyone!"
Too bad, there weren't more people in the cinema, I would've been glad to educate more people on today. Oh well, 5 bucks is good too. :)
Somehow, I have this feeling that this entry isn't written very well. Ah well, I'm tired and it's past my bed-time. So I'm not going to other with editing the entry. Too bad.

Heh. Heh.
I went to school early today and had to wait outside the auditorium till assembly was finished. So, I was waiting and then these 4 people come and the teacher asked them why they were late. Apparently, the MRT broke down at Novena and they had trouble getting a cab and it was only a while later, when the trains were working again, were they able to come. The teacher hears this and starts going, "The train broke down? Cannot be. I have faith in the effeciency of SMRT."
When I heard this, I commented, "Isn't the LRT under SMRT???"
He gives me this look and says, "One, I'm not talking to you, two, mind your own business."
What did I do???
Heh. I went to watch Troy with Jia En on friday. It was quite a good movie, least I thought so, not fantastic but something you should watch in cinemas if you watch it. The movie probably wouldn't go well on a TV screen unless you have a home theatre system or something.
During the part where Paris (Orlando Bloom) goes to fight Agamemnon's brother, I kept having the line "I'm too pretty to die! I'm too pretty to die!!" run through my head. And because of that I started laughing during the scene and got weird stares. I bet people were thinking I was sadistic or something. Especially the girls, for obvious reasons.
And then, right after the movie, I asked Jia En what her reaction was and she said, "I now feel like drinking pepsi."
Whaaat???
A wise man once said, "some of the best things come in small packages, but large things can't, unless their inflatable... or require some assembly. Oh, or unless they're hearts. Yes! Giant, big, juicy hearts! Big as the moon but warmer!!"

Grand Prix 3, part I and Olympic Trials
Hmm... didn't quite do as well as I hoped for the IMs. But then, I think it was mainly cause I was under a lot of pressure, from myself mostly, to do well. I got really stressed out on the first day, and I think cause of that, I felt bad on the second day, albeit slighetly less stressed. However, I did do well for the rest of my events, especially the 200 Free.
Ah well, my coach, John, who happens to be reading the blog too (how did he get the address?), says he'll field me for more meets to help me get used to racing and all. Which will probably be a good thing. Live and learn, eh?
Zatoichi
Oooh. Good movie!! I personally think it was a great period movie and had a lovely story line. Haha. Didn't personally care so much about the twist in the ending, though. I think it may have been better if they left that part out. For those of you who have seen it and are confused, I'm not talking about the multiple evil boss leaders. So I forgot the name of the bad guys, so sue me. However, great movie, guys. If you have the time, it's a good movie to watch.
Also, on the way back, I had a conversation with the taxi driver about the state of Singapore. Hmm... it seems he believes that the casino should be built in Singapore and that the government should build something really, really impressive so that people from all around the world will flock to it. Also, he suggests that it not only be a casino, but a giant entertainment centre of sorts, so if you get bored of gambling (honestly, is that possible?), you can go enjoy some other form of entertainment. Nothing short of magnificent, he proclaims. Why do anything in a half-past six manner?
Haha... what interests me more is that I've finally encountered a taxi driver who more than grunts and asks for directions. You always hear about taxi drivers who are able to talk about everything under the sun. Well, I finally encountered one! ... yay?
